Our mission is to create easy to follow and fully functional platform for our children where they can systematically increase their understanding of the Quran.
The Holly Quran is the most widly read book in the world. Unfortunately it is also the book which is most widly read with out understanding. Allah (SW) said in surah Al-Imran:
كُنتُمْ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ تَأْمُرُونَ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَتَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ ٱلْمُنكَرِ وَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ
You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah. from this verse we can learn that understanding the Quran plays a key to implementing the above mentioned verse. Our religion is based on knowlesge, we all know the first surah reveled to our prophet is about knowledge. this is not a coincidence but it is a away to show the importance of education. ….
We understand that publishing the book of Allah comes with big responsibility. The material we publish in our book has to be 100% correct. For this reason our primary focus was to create a team of scholars who understand the Quran very well.
The source we publish in these series of book is also as important as our team building. The material has to come from an authentic source.
Learning the Quran is a very interesting, rewarding and satisfying journey. Learning the Quran with the intention to present to younger children in a very simple and interactive way need a lot of different skills and tools. This task can sometimes be very challenging and exhausting. With Allah’s will, this task can be successfully achieved when someone has pure interest in what they are involved in.
The success of this publication will inshallah depend on the level of involvement of the target audiences. We already put our children at the centre of the building process and tried to implement all their feedback. We will do so as we going along the publication aswel. As this publication reach your child, if your child raised any comments regarding the book we appreciate dropping us an email or a WhatsApp message and we will try to consider for the next publication.
To make it easy for our children to follow and understand these series of books, we tried to involve our children in then designing process. We took their feedback and implemented them as much as we can.
We take the information we include in these books very seriously. For this reason we decided to adopt the following two principles. First, we used only authentic sources when gathering the information and secondly we involved a good circle of the scholars who have excellent understanding of the Quran to cross check the information we put in the books before they go to publication.
We need to have a systematic approach to maximise our children’s engagement to study the Quran. In these series of books we will use the good things the technology has to offer mixed with the old style of teaching. Hence in each book we included a small portion of learning from Quranic Grammar, Tajweed of the Quran followed by a good number of exercises where they will practice what they learned.
Our children will undoubtedly have questions about their faith. Islam encourages rationality and reasoning. Islam also encourages asking questions. Allah (SW) said in the Quran:
“فَاسْئَلُوا أَهْلَ الذِّكْرِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ لَاتَعْلَمُونَ“
“Ask the informed if you do not know”
Our prophet (PBUH) said:
Knowledge is a treasure and the keys to this treasure are the questions. May Allah (SW) have mercy on you, Always ask”
Each section of the books is marked with either green, orange or red colour. This way the parents will know exactly when to step-in to support their child.
We understand the levels of our children (even for the same age) is different. For this reason, mySurah books will be available in three different levels:
Level 1 – Beginners: This level is suitable for children who finished learning the Arabic alphabets and starting to learn the Quran.
Level 2 – Intermediate: This level is for children who can read the Quran or for those who followed level 1 and feel confident to start with this level.
Level 3 – Adults: The contents of this version is similar to Level 2 – Intermediate, but with a design appealing to adults.
Despite the availability of reading materials and online portals we feel that our children are growing not understanding the message of our Quran. One main reason for this could be because they do not have reading materials that are systematic, interactive and presented in a way that is easy to follow and understand.
mySurah Academy is an organisation dedicated in developing interactive, systematic, easy to use and practical curriculum to maximise our children’s engagement to study the Quran.
